You might wonder why your business should belong to the local chamber of commerce. What is in it for your business? 

I would like to say the answer is simple but in all reality it isn’t that simple of an answer.  Different businesses get different things from belonging to the chamber, depending on what their needs are. 

There are direct and indirect benefits of belonging to the chamber.  Some indirect benefits are economy, legislative, community betterment, education, and civic responsibility.  We are here for you.

Some of the direct benefits are educational programs, member services, and networking.  All of these are just as important as the other so whatever your needs are, the chamber is here to meet them.

The Surfers-Broadbeach Chamber offers beneficial networking opportunities such as Business @ Twilight and Business in Paradise lunches.  People really do obtain new customers and clients from these events!

Another reason to join the chamber is simply because we need you.  The chamber wouldn’t be a chamber if it wasn’t for our members.  Our members allow us to provide all of our services, whether direct or indirect.  Some of these might help you, but some might help your clients.  Either way, your membership helps local businesses in our community.

Our Chamber committee represents our members through a number of avenues with organisations such as the Gold Coast Combined Chamber, Queensland Chamber of Commerce and Industry Regional Committee, Heart of the City, Surfers Paradise Alliance, as well as regularly being invited to attend forums with Gold Coast City Council, State and Federal Government to discuss local area issues. We also have close ties with Broadbeach Alliance and Gold Coast Tourism, both Chamber members themselves, vital organisations to the local tourism driven economy.
